How to become queen of brunch
There’s no need to spend money in a fancy restaurant to have the perfect brunch. You could just host it yourself. Invite your friends and set up your apartment or backyard. With a few easy and quick recipes and steps you will soon be known as the brunch queen.
chilled dry sparkling wine
chilled orange juice
1/2 cup Grand Marnier or triple sec
Mimosas are the ultimate brunch drink. Just fill the champagne glasses 1/2 full with sparkling wine and make sure you’ve kept it in the fridge for a while beforehand. Top it off with orange juice. If you want to you can top off the mimosa with 1 tablespoon of Grand Marnier or triple sec but that’s optional.
2. Start with avocado toast
avocado peeled and seeded
juice of ½ lime
salt & pepper to taste
eggs (fried, scrambled or poached)
The entrée is setting the tone for the whole brunch. And who doesn’t like avocado toast? Just take the sliced beard and put it in a toaster until golden and crispy. Then in a bowl combine and mash the avocado, cilantro, lime with salt and/or pepper. Spread the mixture on each slice of toasted bread. For a twist top it off with slices cherry tomatoes and your favorite kind of eggs. They can be fried, scrambled, or poached.
8 flour tortillas medium size
1 or 1/2 milk
2 cups ham cubed
3 cups of shredded cheddar divided into two bowls
1/4 cup diced onion
1 tsp garlic salt
This recipe is a bit more complicated to make but it will make your brunch absolutely perfect. You can make it the night before and just bake it before your guests arrive in the morning. First pray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Then take a large bowl and combine 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar, 2 cups of diced ham, 1/4 cup chopped green onion, 1/4 cup diced onion, and garlic salt.
After you mix these set aside 1/4 cup for toppings. In another mixing bowl, whisk together 6 eggs and the milk. Starting with one tortilla, add 1/4 cup of the ham mixture into the center and roll. Then just repeat this with all the tortillas. Pour the egg mixture over the top and then top with remaining ham mixture. Once you’re ready to bake them for about 20 minutes on a moderate temperature (180).
Then take them out and top with remaining cheese and bake until cheese is melted. And they’re done!
3 cups chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Combine the ingredients. Microwave or put them in a saucepan at 50% power for approximately three minutes and stir after each minute. Pour into greased square pan and chill them. Then just cut them into pieces and serve with some vanilla ice cream.
